What’s DRM?

Digital Rights Management is a form of copy protection that, in theory, protects against piracy of books (and music) sod in digital form. For the most part, though, DRM mostly succeeds in irritating consumers while being ineffective against piracy.

What Makes Non-DRM Better For Me?

Perhaps the most important feature of non-DRM works is that they’ can be bought by anyone. It might sound daft in the face of a global economy like ours, but geographical restrictions are applied to sales of ebooks as they are sales of paper books… and many DRMed ebooks are restricted to US buyers.
